Larry was clearly the best player on the floor yesterday, and as he goes, so goes our season. I don't see anyone else on the roster who can step up and fill the void if he is not in the game.
Despite that, I'm truly worried about him. He looked tentative, and was clearly favoring the knee. When you start favoring the injury, it puts a lot of stress on the other knee. On most occasions, Larry was coming down real heavy on the uninjured knee. Late in the game it became even more pronounced.
I don't understand why he played 35 minutes in his first game back. He was clearly the best player on the floor, and we may have needed him to win this one game, but we are going to need him much more in January, February, and March. I think the coaching staff needs to put a limit on his minutes per game for now, and stick to it. Late in a close, but ultimately meaningless, game, I don't want to see him try to do too much, too, early, and hurt himself again.
