Couldn't agree more. LA won't be under the scrutiny of other teams for instant success, Larry will have a chance to learn and grow at a pace conducive to his prolonged success! Can't wait to watch!

The Lakers aren't good right now, but they will ALWAYS be under some of the most, if not most scrutiny of any other NBA franchise other than the Knicks maybe.

There is no slow pace and waiting for players to develop in LA. The Lakers and their fans (which can rival the most rabid college fan bases in the country, only there's 10 million of them) expect to win every year, and win very soon given their current drought. The pick will be viewed as a reach by most Laker fans and Larry will need to work very hard to prove he deserved being taken with this pick.
