I made it back late last night, and had a wonderful trip, flew into Burbank Thurs night, drove up the coast to Monterey, took the 17 mile drive of Pebble Beach, then saturday drove over to Fresno, met up with some old high school friends in Fresno, made the trek to the stadium, went to a fun bar called Swiggs, near the stadium (we shouldn't have left for the game). Bulldog Stadium is an ok place, reminds me of TCU and New Mexico and UNLV stadiums, but my only complaint is: WHERE THE HELL WERE THE POKES THIS GAME. Derek Carr picked our D apart, and we truly showed no energy, heart or anything, man it was kinda embarrassing and I've been part of many blowout games away over my years. I sometimes wonder why I go on these away missions. We left with 10 mins left in 4th qtr to go back to that bar. I will return to Fresno someday pending that we have a team that can compete, where was that team that beat them at the 1st New Mexico bowl, now that was fun.
Then I get back yesterday to find out that DC has been suspended and I've watched it and now I truly understand!!! This weekend will be interesting with the weather, new interim coach. I sure hope that DC gets his stuff in order and we truly are world beaters against the Sheep.
Fun trip sure wish the outcome wouda been somewhat different, but in my op, somethings wrong and broken on this team, we'll be lucky to finish, 5-7, hope I'm wrong at 6-6 (stretch)
Cmon Pokes let's rally somewhat and do something different.
 
Away games are always fun to check out. The trip may suck from time to time (I'm looking at you, byu) but they're mostly a lot of fun to go on.
 
Went there for a game on my 22nd birthday. I will never go back. Worst gameday experience ever, and I've been to CSU! :mrgreen:

I know what to expect when I go to CSU, here i thought they were held to higher standards, NOT....I hated it, had fake binoculars full of rum tho....got pissed about Caffiene free Coke...had to pour it in the bathroom and knocking, "hurry up" mister. hey f off.....My worst experience was BYU, my best away experience, Austin, TX, 2 years ago hands down.

Looking forward to many more fun experiences to come

Yup! Went there in '95. Couldn't believe the scowls from the white-haired 70 year olds. It was as though my presence was insulting to him.

Had to laugh at the "If you'e happy and you know it clap your hands" fight song though. :lol:
