My new "pipe dream"

Pelini likes Bohl's approach and Pelini is ready for a "break" so to speak. He agrees to take a 2-3 year stint with the WYO Cowboys to decompress. Bohl fires Stanard and Pelini is our new DC.

I know, I know...

I totally thought the same thing. Why not try and hire Pelini for DC? I'm sure a bigger program will come calling on him. Although known as a defensive coach, he never had great defenses at Nebraska.

That's just bizarre.

Yeah why not? I'm sure baylors coach would come be our offensive coordinator too. Because fuck logic.

Agree with Beav on this one, though to be more specific, I'd give Stanard at least 1 more year before axing him. Defense took one hit after another all season, and to be fair, we lose a lot of experience all over the defense going into next season at D-line (2 starters), LB (2-3 starters), and DB (2-3).

Mine was getting Breske in here after he got canned over the weekend. Then I read Scott Nulph's tweet from a North Dakota guy and my precious dream crumbled into nothingness and despair. Sweet baby Jesus, the unspeakable things I would have done to get Breske back as DC...

Pelini is way too big of a fish to be DC at Wyoming. He should have never been fired in the first place. Ridiculously stupid move by their AD.

Stanard had his defensive squad kicking the crap out of our offense all spring and was solid against Montana and AF and even got us the ball back against FAU to win the game. The Drubbing we got from Oregon and Michigan state was to be expected. Hawaii is where shit fell apart. Nothing was the same after half time. Not all Stanards fault, the talent he had to work with was Shit, especially the secondary. Worst in the FBS from my perspective.

Obviously (at least to most in this thread), this was clearly marked as "pipe dream". In other words, not based in reality. FWIW, Pelini is FAR better than Stanard.

Many assume our upper Administration is doing a bang up job and they send out the bat signal whenever anyone questions Burman. Why can't I deviate a from reality as well? ;)
