MWC & Post Season Fun

I'm not sure if any of you watch the College Slam Dunk & 3-Pt. Championships each year. I usually watch them just because they can be pretty exciting. Now since I can't find anything online or anywhere else about how they determine the competitors. Mainly because Nance or even Adams IMO would have easily won this year or at least been top 3 and that isn't just brown and gold talking!

Is it because of the CBS Contract and the MWC not being on ESPN that keeps MWC players from these? It sucks I even think Grabau could have given them a run for the 3 point title. I can't think of the last time I saw a MWC Athlete in any of these and I'm willing to bet there never have been any.

Pretty sure I remember seeing that Nance was invited, must've declined.

I'm not going to say he wasn't because I don't know for sure but I think that would have found it's way on to a post if he declined it. This years was really disappointing he could have easily won.

He tweeted out that he declined. Said family time was more important. But your point about not enough mountain west guys is true...

As for why Adams wasn't there, it's seniors only. Good chance he's there next year IMO.

Good to know wasn't aware it was seniors only was pretty pathetic this year. It's cool family is important to Nance but he would have cleaned up no one capable of serious dunks was there.

Family is always number 1. But I think he could've won it with the "three ball" dunk! That was seriously sick!
Oh well! I hope to see him on a pro roster next year.

Ya his three ball dunk would have been money!

While I'm sure he is telling the truth that family time was a factor. I would bet that the chance of injury played a role as well. With a history of a serious knee injury, no need to go out and risk hurting it right before his chance to get on a pro team.
