Not much of a surprise there. I am still trying to figure out why San Diego State is picked ahead of us. The only thing I can think of is that they see UW and SDSU as the bottom two teams and we play them in San Diego this season. I guess the difference between 8th and 9th isn't a big deal anyways. Both shitty positions to be in.
I do recall the media picking us to finish dead last a few other times in recent history. The funny thing is, those seasons were some of the better seasons we have had as of late. I believe they picked us last in 2004 when we went to the bowl game and beat UCLA and also in 2006 when we went 5-3 in conference and finished tied for 3rd. Hopefully the trend continues this year.
