UNLV looked the worse - complete dogshit team again this year. Hauck better start the wife loading boxes.

Hawaii was surprising for a bit, but I think they caught U$C with "island fever" (U$C arrived Tuesday to the islands). The first 2 plays of that game, surprisingly didn't set the tone - but I thought "oh my god" - after the sack and then penalty backed Hawaii up to their own 5.

USU & Keeton - wow that kid is good - had he not cramped up all night, USU wins. The second half momentum shift for the Utards really did USU in. With a healthy Keeton, I still think that USU wins 9 or 10 this year.

Fresno looked like they were the poster child for the NCAA "first half, first game jitters," then pulled away - not impressed with their D one bit. They will win by shootout this year, and only by shootout this year.

San Jose State - didn't see one down. SJSU didn't score in the 4th, and trailed in TOP by 12+ minutes against FCS Sack St.

SJSU didn't impress me. They won 24-0 I think, but it was against Sacramento State. Of course, Sac. St beat the Beavers in Corvallis 2 seasons ago, and Cal Poly beat Wyo in Laramie last season so I won't say too much.
I just thought that Fales would have thrown for 400 yards on them.
He went 16/32 with 225 yards and 2 TDs.
Still a win is a win.

Freno State had less than 100 yards rushing for the whole game, they could not establish the run. It seems losing Rouse really did make them 1 dimensional. Carr is an excellent pocketpasser, but against a good pass defense, and I have no idea how good Rutger's is (only the first game after all), but unless they can establish some sort of run game, a good pass defense team will destroy them.
