Thursday:
Game 12 - #1 vs. Game 8 Winner
Game 13 - #4 vs. #5
Game 14 - #2 vs. Game 9 Winner
Game 15 - #3 vs. #6

I'm anxious for this tournament. SDSU, BSU, and CSU fans are all giddy about the idea of playing the Pokes in the semis. UW is the team people want to play. Be careful what you wish for.

All that aside, I think all of the top four MW teams in the standings are very much hoping to avoid UNLV in the opening round. A UNLV > CSU/BSU > SDSU route to win the tournament is extremely tough.

Lol...they may want to play us now, but when Nance returns, and we are all of a sudden on a 6 game win streak, Co-MWC Champs, and have the MWC POY playing at his highest level of his career, these fools are going to regret wanting to play us.

Well if it ended today...we would get UNLV in the quarters. No thanks.

San Diego St 12-3
Wyoming 10-4
Boise State 10-4
Colorado St 10-5
Utah State 9-5
Fresno St 7-7
UNLV 6-8
New Mexico 6-9
Air Force 5-10
Nevada 4-10

Looking at the remaining schedules what it looks like will happen to me is that as long as Wyoming only loses one game at most they will finish as the #2 or #3 seed. Which would have them playing either Fresno St. or UNLV.

If Wyoming finishes 3rd they will play Fresno St . in the first game and if they finish 2nd they will play UNLV the first game. UNLV will have played another game the night before against Nevada probably.

So out of those 2 options would you rather play a rested Fresno St. team or a UNLV team with not a lot of depth having to play their 2nd game in 2 nights in their home arena?

Ask us again on Thursday morning.

Also, that's a question the staff may legitimately have to ask themselves. What if we come down to the final game of the season and the question is, win and end up likely playing depleted UNLV on their home court, or lose and play Fresno St.? Obviously if we still had realistic at large hopes you'd play to win every game, but if you're being realistic you know the only way to the NCAA is through the MW tournament. This will also depend on how we match up with UNLV this Saturday.

Their fans might be spouting off nonsense. I'll bet CSU and Boise would rather avoid us until as late as possible.

Especially the sheep. Even with an "injured" Nance, we still beat them. As a full team, we went up early and kept a double digit lead the entire game. And Eustachy literally threw the towel when they came up here (I laughed pretty hard at that!)!
