MWC BoD releases statement

My whole world is upside down.....?


did it really take them two days to decide to stay the course?
 
I'm ok with standing pat with staus quo. Don't be hasty and jeopardize our quest for AQ status by inviting SJSU and USU. Those schools bring nothing to the prestige of the conference. The next conference that looks to bust is the Big 12 and I'd much rather take a Iowa St, or a Kansas/Kansas State than a USU and SJSU. Things could get very interesting and I like how our commissioner and board are playing things. Hopefully we'll know something soon in regards to an upgrade in the TV arrangment, although I like the MTN Channel and think they do a good job, but the more TV sets we are on, the better off we will be. Go Pokes!

I would rather have ISU and KSU in the MWC than USU and SJSU, but I would rather have a couple Texas teams in the first place. Plus, the MWC seems to be getting pretty heavy on the West anyways.

I agree USU and SJSU don't add a whole lot, and hope they're not invited. If the Big 12 breaks down, it's gonna be a shit storm for the MWC. TCU was the biggest prize, and they already got their deal. If I had to guess, I bet Boise gets picked next from the MWC, It'd be a good way to expand your conference to the Rocky Mtns, ....which is exactly what the PAC 10 doesn't want. :lol: :lol:

But the stability aspect is in the favor of the MWC not the Big 12 in that scenario. The greatest threat to the Big 12 is not teams being raided but by independence. Texas already has there deal paving their way to it, Oklahoma now wants it, and A&M wants out because of all this. OKie State has been good, so they may get the invite from the SEC along with A&M. That leaves Tech, KSU, UK, MISS looking for a place to play...BOOM, hello MWC! There is your expansion! Here's hoping!
 
Your're conference is not stable if you're conference isn't BCS. The money in the BCS runs the show.....
