MW stitched onto the field

I will say its pretty cool that whatever side your on when you are at the game that both the logos read MW and is never upside down

Does anyone know for sure that it isn't going to be painted? If so I just jumped on the fire commish thompson bbandwagon. That looks like crap, what's the penalty for painting it the school colors?

Tread lightly and the only penalty you'll have is whatever you spent at the hardware store for outdoor paint ;)
 
I didn't realize that people gave that much of a crap about the MW logo. When is someone gonna start the thread "when are they gonna do the floor in the AA"? I do admit, it would look way more badass if we could do it in our colors. Why don't we all write the MW and petition for it?

i don't care that much, i just didn't want to be the only school that still had the old logo come september....but, it looks as though they have made it look worse (i don't care about the purple as much as the green)

:brick: Eh I guess it's just as bad as the blue and red pepsi logo so I'll cut it a little slack

The MWC logo on BSU's field looks significantly better than Wyoming's. That is a weak patch job there but UW.
 
I donno. If you browse through that mwcboard thread, it appears Utah's patch job for the PAC 12 logo looks as bad as ours. Might just be the name of the game - patch the field or replace the whole thing. Think we'll patch as it is 1/1000th the cost.

I think Boise replace their turf last year (or this year), so the patch job probably blends better.
 
Heck ya it looks dumb on the basketball floor as well. Here the mwc teams are trying to make facilities upgrades and the conf kicks out these non matching logos. Yeah, people will notice them and and bad they look. No one will ever convince me that purple and gray is good, even if only for a year or two. Why the hell did we pay money to make our fields and courts look worse....small time, instead of big time.

The only team that it will look good on (tcu) will be gone next year. Its stupid.


Did I mention that I hate it. The old logo looked a million times better.
 
Here is a thought...

A friend looked close at the field yesterday, and said that the colors will become "darker" (especially the green area) because there isn't a bunch of that black rubber shit in it like the rest of the field.

that makes sense to me, i figured the patches came impregnated with the rubber

Yeah, have no fear guys, it will blend once the little rubber do-hickeys get filled in. I think the logo is better than the old one, but only inf it is brown and gold. I hope hair t. will let us paint it our colors. (the best colors in college sports)
