There is puke dont you see the turf around it, Cmon cant even get the right color of the field or will it just fade to dark green

I think it will grow on us though after a few years...just can't figure out why UW (in all it's wisdom) would paint (again) the old logo again this summer, just to cut it out and replace it with the new carnival/circus logo.

Drink heavily this year WyoNation.

he made a huge investment to keep our stadium up to date with modern trends and now it looks like a half-assed patchwork job

couldn't they have just stitched in a piece the shape of the MW instead of cutting a yard around it?

Would have preffered keeping the old logo if we can't have the new one in school colors. The old one was pretty cool and unique. The new one is alright with the school colors, otherwise it kind of sucks.
 
Yeah that looks frickin stupid. I thought it was dumb to pay that kind of money for a new logo, and if we can't paint it brown and gold over the purple and gray (respectively) then I think it was even a bigger mistake. Who ever thought paying a marketing firm a bunch of cash to make all the fields in the mwc look stupid was a good idea?

Does anyone know for sure that it isn't going to be painted? If so I just jumped on the fire commish thompson bbandwagon. That looks like crap, what's the penalty for painting it the school colors?

i'm assuming that the patch was made by the same people that made the field, right?
 
I have a feeling we will be seeing the logo in our color in a year or two. The league is trying to establish a new logo and brand the new MW. It needs the logo to be uniform to make it easier to identify. I don't think the original logo was in brown and gold from the very beggining either. It looks kinda strange but people will know what conference is playing when you see it on tv.

PS it does look terrible on boise's blue field.
 
If I had a guess, I would say that the MW logo and hunk of turf that it's attached to is probably the correct shade of green, but over the years of having this turf the rest of it has faded into the color it is now.. hence the difference in color. We're probably about due for a new set of turf anyways, aren't we?

i dunno...for the kind of money that stuff goes for, seems to me like it shoulda been seamless
