MW/CUSA merger is upon us. Announcement tonight

If a championship between the 2 leagues gives both leagues better BCS options with a more lucrative bowl game then yes it does the MWC good because it means more revenue overall as long as someone in the MWC wins that championship game.
 
If it keeps AFA and BSU in the MWC and kills the BE then it is a home run. AQ will follow. I guess we will see in a short while.
 
My guess is this is retaliation for losing Air Force, Boise State, Houston, and SMU all in one day. Unite, because they can't survive alone.

According to some though, BSU and Air Force want the Alliance over the Big Least. I guess we find out at 4:30 on the mtn.

Been anounced that it will be on The Mtn. at 4:30pm Mountain Time.

According to some twitter guys (the link to the MWC board I linked in the other thread has a bunch direct links, this included) is that this alliance could kill off the Big Least.

Forgot to add Navy. But you are right, 17 teams(maybe 18 if they add somebody? Utah State?). UCF, UH, and SMU are the C-USA's losses. BSU and AFA are the MWC's losses, and Navy joins as well.
 
So the First Super conference is now created, Obviously this is 100% revenue based. I think this really has very little to do with BCS or AQ Status or anything else I think this is to increase revenue for College football for the Members I also think there will be stipulations put to all current members which will make them less likely to jump ship.
 
I love the abrupt Yes about other possible schools being brought in and it ended just like that yes.
