Spread, historical statistics...not forecasting a great day, but hey...the Pokes are here when everyone said they wouldn't be. Everyone said it was unlikely to get another huge day from Adams/Nance yesterday. Why not one more time?
Marks went cold yesterday. Everything rimming in and out. Sure would be nice if the Asstecs got the same bug.
Well Boise St. started out hot as heck yesterday . They were 7-11 from the 3 line at one point in the first half and then Shyatt went to the zone and everything changed.
Here is the two keys to today's game.
These two keys are all that matter. We do good with both of these stats and we will be the MWC champions.
Key # 1 ..... Do not turn the ball over. Keep the turnovers WAY down to like 8 or less. When you turn it over you lose an opportunity to score and give them and extra possession to score. In the first two games Wyoming had 13 turnovers in both games. SDSU had 10 turnovers the first game and then only 8 the second game. So they got 3 extra possession the first game and 5 the second game.
Key #2..... Defensive rebounding. If they put a shot up we need to get the rebound and only give them once chance each time down the floor. They aren't the best shooting team so if you only give them once chance then their chances of winning go down greatly. The first game they had 13 offensive rebounds and the 2nd game they had 8 offensive rebounds. That gave them a lot of chances to make a basket again just an extra opportunity for them to shoot it and score just like turnovers. We need to limit this to 5 or less. Crash the defensive boards hard. Easier said than done.
We win in these two area's and we will win this game and be the 2015 MWC Tournament Champions.
