MW champions and 1st round loss or NIT Championship

You ask how someone could come to such a conclusion? Well we have lost to much worse teams than what remain on our schedule. I think unfortunately 1-5 is much more probable than 4-2. We've lost at home to the likes of Southern and Fresno won in Laramie last year I believe. Hardly a house of horrors for them. We've already lost to the dregs of the MW in SJSU and Air Force so predicting us to lose against better MW teams is a rational prediction. We're coming off of a very nice win, but it's one game. We're 2-4 in our last 6 games. I'd like to see a bit more consistency from this team before predicting anything above a 2-4 finish. I think we finish 2-4 or 3-3, anything above 3-3 would be a big success IMO. I see us winning SJSU and stealing one other game, maybe CSU as we seem to have their number. we will be dogs in every game besides SJSU. Maybe we can catch fire against Fresno at home.

Fair enough. It all starts with Boise. If we win that game I think we can gather momentum. This team has been wildly inconsistent but in honor of this positive thread I'm siding on the optimistic side. We owe Fresno, so lets pay em back! I hope we ride out strong into the tourney and I see it as a possibility. Much crazier things have happened in sports. We have a great coach and a one of kind Poke on this team. I loved what I saw last game it was just a loose, confident effort. Great ball movement too and the defense was pretty solid.
