So, it being the biggest game that I can remember since 96, some rough luck happened to me this week. My wife comes home a few days ago and tells me that the direct TV will be turned off Friday (yesterday) and that we were getting direct TV bundled through her att. They will reinstall today... From 1200 to 1600 in the afternoon. God DAMN IT!

So, yup... That means this is going to be the the greatest game to record.

You all can thank my wife later.
 
Would it work on Verizon, I don't use att. Was planning on going to Buffalo wild wings with my son. Leave the mrs to deal with cable tech.

I'm not totally sure but I'm pretty sure the DirectTV app is good with any carrier even if you're getting it through ATT

Yeah, the DirecTV app will work through any Internet connection. I use it on my tablet over WiFi.

If you have your DirecTV box turned on, you can always stream your full channel lineup on mobile, as long as the device you're streaming to is connected to the same network as the box. If you're on the road, you can "fake" this by setting up a VPN on your home router and connecting to it.

Almost no sports are available on anything but tv

Yeah, they know that's the only way people will still have expensive Cable/Dish packages. If it wasn't for sports, I would've cut the cord a long time ago. Now instead I have to pay $125/month, and DirecTV refuses to give me any deals because I left crappy CenturyLink behind.

Yeah, well, it seems the "when it rains, it pours" saying is also true. Looking at a 6th knee surgery within the next week or so, and maybe even a 7th. Knees have gone to hell and hurt like it too.

All the bad ones apparently. Another poster on the board, wily wapiti, will be getting his replaced in less than three weeks. Wyoming is bad for knees.
