No idea why Zimmerman was invited. He sucked. Looked like a uncoordinated 10 year old in a 25 year old body.
"Potential" :lol:
I'm so glad we have Naughton. Now that is a kid with potential and has a great head on his shoulders. Now if we can find what pisses Jb off we will be in good shape. As far as josh is concerned its a damn crime. These pro scouts see he is undersized and pretty much flip the page. Or some just consider him a great athlete and not a ball player. Someone's going to get a steal once they dig a little deeper. The kid has attributes that some of these first rounders could only dream of. Not only is he one of the best athletes I have seen but he is also one of the passionate players I have seen as well. Josh will land on his feet he has had to prove people wrong from day one and I just never have understood how people are so blind towards him.
He's not a true point, undersized for the 2, and will be perceived as having reached his ceiling because he's not an 18 year old 5 star recruit. The NBA is dumb. They always go after children and think they can develop them into stars. Zimmerman could be an NBA contributor one day, but I think it's pretty clear he would be a bottom of the league starter if he ever got to that point.

Josh should and can play a similar role to Dellavedova in Cleveland. He's not a primary ball handler due to a star being on the team, but he can handle the defensive duties of a point guard and knock down open shots that Lebron creates for him. He's going to be successful if he's put in the right situation. I just hope that some crappy team with no real star avoids drafting Josh and ruining his career before it ever starts.

any news on status and what's up for him, if no draft instead of a free agent, I think going thru the D League would be the best thing for me, just my thoughts

Haven't heard much about how Josh's workouts have gone. I think he's had them in Chicago LA and New York recently but not 100 % sure on that

Why he's unlikely to be selected: Adams was more of a role player for his first three seasons of college basketball before stepping up in a big way in 2016. There's a feeling around the league wondering if you can actually trust Adams to run a team. At 6-2 with a relatively short wingspan, you likely need him to play point guard and initiate your offense. Another question: did he beat up on an unusually weak Mountain West, particularly in the backcourt? The questions here are aplenty, really, and Adams is going to have to go into workouts with a great attitude to convince teams that he's worth the expenditure.

Why he can beat the odds: First and foremost, there are few athletes as explosive as Adams in this draft. He can leap with anyone, he is lightning quick, and has tremendous ball-handling ability to get into the paint or split the defense in pick-and-roll settings. There was arguably no player as productive in the country this season on a per-possession basis. Adams led all draft prospects in per-40 pace-adjusted scoring, and did it at a true-shooting percentage of 60.4. He hit 38 percent of his 3s and improved his consistency there dramatically. Plus, he's improved tremendously as a passer and lowered his turnover rate this season to show growth. Maybe he's just another Mike James, destined to dominate summer leagues and get quick cups of coffee in the NBA while never fully sticking. But there's a lot to like about his explosive game.

Hmmm I would like him to join DC and Luke in the DLeague
I'd prefer he joins Larry in the big leagues...
I agree he belongs in the big leagues. That article was totally wrong about being a role player for his first three years. We wouldn't have won the tourney without Josh plain and simple. -

That's what happens when national writers only look at the box score numbers.

He either has a great agent who has secured a promise from a team that adams fits in with, or.......... he needs to fire the agent he hired because his name should be out there. He should be getting workouts from alot of teams.

These unlv guys are getting alot of hype, mccaw even in two more seasons would never be as dominant as adams. Hype means a lot. We like to pretend its not true but larry nance jr wouldnt have been a 1st round pick and may not jave been drafted if there wasnt a larry nance sr

Denver was the 13th team he worked out for, that's nearly half the league. Those that matter are getting to know his name. Just stick to talking about who should play point guard instead...

Just a reminder...at this time last year, Larry Nance Jr. was not included on the DraftExpress mock draft. The highest he was ever mocked to go was 54, which was on the final mock put out the morning of the draft. His name was out there just as little as Adams.

Yep it's kind of like what we talked about before the season even started . Its these team workouts that will make or break Josh at this point in time. I don't think his chances of being drafted are completely gone yet. A lot of people didn't even think Larry would get drafted at this point last year then he went in the first round. The interview with these teams carry more weight than you can imagine. Not saying Josh has the same chances but I would be willing to bet one team will take a chance on him.

Will he get drafted? Extreeeeeme long shot. So no. But will he play in the NBA at some time? Yes.This guy has too much balls and drive to keep him out, as soon as he works on any weakness in a lower league.

An underlying theme about good GM's is that they focus on two primary aspects about draftees (weather it's football or basketball); live game tape and private workouts. Potential draft picks can get noticed in post season bowl games or tounaments, but if a player is already strong in tape and has a good workout/interview... media's beliefs about combine invitation is kinda prejudice.

Josh possesses character and drive, and he has shit loads of great tape. I still think he is going to a Western team in the draft.
