MOUNTAIN WEST PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH

Dodd's prediction is cool, Patterson? Ehh....lets avoid that result.

I still don't get the love affair with Nevada. Ooooh...they return all their starters on defense...yeah, from a unit that ranked dead last nationally in rush defense. Returning a ton of starters only matters if you didn't suck the previous season.

Well, that's one way to put it.

For Dodd's, I think it's fair to say our minds would be blown if Bohl did that in year 1 here.

I personally will be disappointed if we finish worse than third. CDC knew how to recruit talent and bohl knows how to coach talent. I truly believe (glasses off) that we can compete at the top this year. It will all come down to qb. If kgard can not suck we will compete

Fishing 3-4th in our division I would find acceptable for a first year coach, But as always this time of the year we start to see everything in Brown & Gold.

I think if Bohl has made legit progress with the defense and Yarbrough & Puletasi can defend the corners and control the opposing teams ground game with us moving back to a 4-3 we could shock some teams. Unfortunately I don't think either of the first two games will show us anything.

Ugh I hate seeing the green sheep above us.

I think Boise and USU get take the top 2 spots, and Wyo and CSU take the next 2 spots. But as for best case for the Border War teams, I see Wyo ceiling at 3, and CSU's ceiling at 2, maybe even 1 if everything falls their way exactly.
McElwain is a good coach, and they are proving to play smash-mouth football on offense and defense.
Smash-mouth football usually figures out how to beat the spread teams and that's why I see CSU's ceiling higher than ours. But I also remember that it does indeed suck to be a csu ram, so I won't be surprised when CSU wins only 2 games this year.

Sheep lost about everyone on their o-line and some RB whose name nobody can remember. They return Grayson, but that's about it.

That 5 star Bama RB transfer just got cleared to play this fall.

I read in the Coloradoan that he has his bachelor's degree, which is why he is immediately eligible. Two years left too. How the heck does that work? :willybs:

It was at Bama...probably some underwater basket weaving degree, where the profs were paid to pass the athletes anyways. If he did in fact legitimately earn a real degree by taking (and legitimately passing) real classes, then I applaud the young man. But at the power schools like Bama, you have to question it...unless you're a fan or the NCAA.

Except he has knees comparable to mine (that's not a compliment).

Yep...I did not realize that until after the news had been released. 2 ACL tears? God damn...might as well put Wyokie at RB. Kid won't be nearly as effective as you'd expect from a 5-Star RB.

Yep, a 5 star stud who had 23-78-1 last year behind an amazing O Line. Bad knees and no O Line, I'm curious how he pans out this year. I could be wrong. No one saw Bibbs coming last year, but they had their entire line intact last year. This year...? It will remain to be seen.
