New blog is up, who's in the driver's seat for the MW championship? Who still has a small glimmer of hope? Why is Colorado State in serious trouble? Read now!

Good article. The only thing I might alter is that SUDS might lose 3 of their last 3 games. Seriously, those guys just aren't that good. I doubt it will happen, but it certainly isn't a long shot. SUDS wouldn't scare me right now; especially if we played in Laramie.

Good Stuff. I hate to admit CSU breaking into the Top 25 and getting a Major bowl bid would be good for the conference... ugh

I'm not entirely sure it would be. Big12 fans AND CSU fans on the interwebs are already talking about how cool it would be for CSU to be in Big12 since they lost the Colorado market when CU went to Pac12.

If it was only CSU fans doing, I'd be laughing at them. The fact that so many TCU, Texas, Oklahoma, etc. fans are saying those things is something that really disturbs me.

Meanwhile, Boise fans butt into these conversations and are upset they're not included.

So, CSU is thinking they are Big12 material because they are having a decent season? What about the fact they have a smaller fan base, don't own a bit of the Denver market, and can barely get 20K in attendance all while not being able to raise enough money for a new stadium, a new gym, and something bigger than a 70 yard practice facility.

Let them talk....they aren't going anywhere.

Wasn't it CSU and New mexico in the conference championship the year after we played BYU in it? If I recall correctly, the stadium was about half empty and New Mexico had most of the fans.

If CSU were sitting in our position, they wouldn't be drawing any more fans than we have and they have how many times the population to draw from?

CSU being courted for any other conference....preposterous. I might by a nickel's worth of that story if CSU had won 4 of the last 6 conference titles. I would court Air Force over CSU.

That was the 1997 WAC Championship in Vegas. CSU won, 41-13, to go on to the Holiday Bowl and beat Missouri.

They were the LAST WAC team to ever go to Holiday Bowl.

CSU is the flavor of the month.

If they build on their success, I think they would be in conversation for Big12 if the Big12 finds it necessary to expand.

The key question being if the Big12 finds it necessary. Obviously, there would be lots of other teams and scenarios in discussion, but CSU wouldn't be 100% out. They wouldn't be 100% in, either.

If the Big 12 ever does expand, they'll be looking East LONG before they look to the Mountain time zone. Probably look to a school or 3 near WVU before ever looking into Colorado.

If I had to bet or make a prediction at this point, I would agree with you. I doubt CSU would get the nod, but I do think they would be in the conversation.

That's where I am too. But I do think it deserves to be mentioned that Big12 fans are currently more or less positive to the idea, so if CSU strings together a few good seasons and continue to sell out?

Definitely agree with this. Who would have guessed 4 years or even 2 years before Utah went to the PAC that they would go to the PAC? A lot can change in a relatively short amount of time.
