KEEP AN EYE ON: The Lobos' mindset — How do the Lobos respond after playing their best game and still losing by 20? Will they remain upbeat, despite the 0-5 start? New Mexico did a lot of good things on both offense and defense; it just didn't do so when the outcome was still in doubt. The Lobos have to find ways to make plays that make the difference in the outcome of games, and so far they have not been able. The Lobos have chances to break their losing streak in the next three games — Wyoming, UNLV, San Diego State — that represent the weakest part of the UNM schedule.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Like I told (the players), I don't believe in moral victories. It's either winning or losing, and we lost the ball game. But if the team fights the way they did today and the way they have every game, I see brighter days for us as a program and I see them coming very soon. I can't tell you how much I see that light at the end of the tunnel getting closer and closer." — New Mexico coach Mike Locksley.

Hope the Tunnel crashes down on Locksley this Saturday.

doesn't quite compare with Laramie being a barren wasteland, or however the LV guy described it.

yeah, not quite the same punch, but I take it as Lockley seeing the light at the end of the tunnel being a game vs UW.
