I think they both turned it down because of the 5 million buyout clause.

What is the buy out for BYU? If there is, maybe that could go to adding another school or two.

I think they both turned it down because of the 5 million buyout clause.

The rumor that they turned it down was about 3 hours before the invite was sent - I don't think it has been turned down yet.

The MWC was so close to being in a great position for grabbing up leftover Big 12 teams... now we are really reaching to keep our league together. Sad. I think if we waited out another year the Big 12 will NOT be staying together with Texas having so much power and money out of that deal. I guess for the sake of not letting our league fall apart Thompson has to make some moves right now.

now espn says that nevada has accepted mwc invite. says it expects fresno st to accept to but I thought they could not afford a buyout.
