That is questionable. It is possible that the schools to the North are paying their players more than we are and attracting better players. This was stated to be true in a Cowboy State Daily Article but given the nature of secretive NIL funding I am not sure whether it is true or not that the Montanas are paying players more than we are.

I've reached out to a few people who know... the CSD numbers are wildly inaccurate and the guy that wrote the article is a fucking moron. UM and MSU are more likely around $400K-500K in NIL budget.
