Contract extension doesn't mean shit. The boosters at Minnesota definitely have the $$$$$ to buy out Bohl if they want him. If Bohl were to get offered he is gone...guaranteed. No coach would ever dream of turning down a Big 10 job to stay at Wyoming.

Thanks for that tidbit Captain Obvious. Bohl is outside the top 5 of the candidates that they after...so don't let that raging boner you have for our coach poke you in the eye and blur your vision.

You in the loop with the Minnesota AD?

It doesn't take a genius to do a little research...you outta give it a shot.

Research based on ESPN "sources". The only person who knows for sure is the AD and at this point I highly doubt he is letting a lot of people know.

Bohl' recruiting ties to that region are very strong and after turning around the shitstorm at Wyoming, there is a strong possibility he will be looked at.

So 8 & 6 is turning a program around? Ya, only if the previous year was the worst in the history of the program. Which it was. But that was Bohl's as well, so there is that. Hell, Bohl's predecessor went 8 & 5 in 2011...and we sure didn't all gather up in a circle and sing happy songs then, and we aren't right now either.

The kicker in all of this is that when Bohl leaves, if he leaves, Klieman will be ours so fast (if we want him) it will get your green and gold undies in a nut-restricting wad before you can say Bizun.

Apparently you weren't a Wyoming fan in the early 2000's. Even I recall a three year stretch where they won a total of 5 games, one year winning a whopping 1 game.

Na Klieman wouldn't follow Bohl's sloppy seconds.

What is with you and the make genitalia references? Football shouldn't cause you to get sexual. Now on the other hand if you put a sheep in front of a guy from Wyoming.......
McPeachy and 2011BisonAlumni are walking along when they see a sheep stuck in a fence. McPeachy gets excited. He runs up to the sheep, drops his pants, and starts going to town. He finishes with a big smile on his face, turns to 2011BisonAlumni, and says "your turn." With an even bigger smile on his face, 2011BisonAlumni runs up to the fence, drops his pants, and sticks his head through the fence.

Moral of the story you ask? Wyoming fans may be sheep fuckers but at least we don't take it in the ass.

Wasn't NDSU a 2-8 team in Division II the year before Bohl was hired?

Peaches has been a fan longer than you've been alive, skippy. We all remember the early 2000's. They weren't fun. Also explains the pessimistic and sour mood that you see around here when we lose games we shouldn't.

North Dakota State Bison Head Coach:
Craig Bohl 2003-2013
Chris Klieman 2014-Present

Yeah, he totally wouldn't follow Bohl's "sloppy seconds", just like Bohl would never leave the Bizun to play with the big boys.

You've got to admit that a bizun alum beating their chest on a Wyoming board screams of the fondness you have for our coach that took you to the top...

Lots of bad blood between Bohl's staff and Klieman. Different situation this time. Maybe it happens. If it does I know NDSU will continue to be very successful. Can't say the same for Wyoming.
NDSU is already on the slide from the Bohl era.

These friggin Bizun folk are still butthurt Bohl left and came to Wyo. especially now that their program is starting to implode. He left - get over it.

I just think you guys are delusional if you honestly think he wants to stay at Wyoming the rest of his career.
Whatever, this is the classic dictionary definition of "butthurt". You're program isn't what it was when Bohl was there - evidenced by your year.

You're entitled to think that. But he stayed in shithole Fargo a lot longer than expected, why wouldn't he stay at Wyoming for an extended period?

12-2. Conference champs and a win over Iowa with a loss in the semi finals. Dam good year especially considering the number of losses sustained on defense. Wyoming has never had a 12 win season in their entire program's history.

For the record Bohl leaving for Minnesota has the potential for way more harm to NDSU than it does for Wyoming. You guys are already used to being among the worst teams in your level of football, so falling back to sub .500 seasons wouldn't be so bad.

Various reasons, but they were two years removed from a semifinal appearance. Something like the first losing season in 40 years. No program at the D2 level had won more national championships , 8, than NDSU. Pretty similar situation that Nick Saban walked into at Alabama. NDSU existed as a football power in their level of play long before Bohl ever stepped foot onto campus.

FFS. Fleck appears to be the clear favorite for this job. I haven't seen Bohl actually linked to the job outside of journalists just throwing out names. This is a lot of back and forth for something that won't happen.

This. I did some looking and a report I saw said Minnesota offered Fleck the job and he hasn't until tomorrow to decide. Same report I saw also said Bryan Harsin is their second choice which would have interesting conference implications if that were to happen. Anyways, 2011Bison go back to your hole and don't come back. Thanks.

Ooooohhhh...a 12 win season playing high school teams. Must be nice to only have to show up for a game or two per season! Of all the flavors in the world you choose to be salty?

How many 12 win seasons has NDSU had at the FBS level?

Cokeville High School hasn't had a losing season since 1985. Maybe the Bison should go play them and see how bad they hobble back to Fargo.

They play in the same conference, right? :)

They're actually in a conference above NDSU. ;)

BTW....which one of you pissed in 2011BisonAlumni's wheaties?? This guy has been posting on wyonation for over 3 years now and almost every single post is a low-blow to our football program. At this point it has become his personal pastime! For your information Mr. 2011BisonAlumni, this is a WYOMING forum and we don't give TWO shits about what you think about our football team. We've heard everything you have to say before, we've been through the lowest of the lows, but we're still here supporting the team we love the most. I would suggest you get a different hobby because you're not going to change anyone's opinion here! To think, I actually thought Bison fans were classy when they lost coach Bohl to us...

And then there is this little tidbit this morning. LMAO at 2011BisonAlumni!!!

"A source told ESPN on Tuesday that Minnesota's initial preference to be Claeys' successor is Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck, who, as reported by Minneapolis TV station KSTP, met earlier Wednesday with Kaler and Coyle in Chicago. Other candidates immediately expected to be considered for the opening include former LSU and Oklahoma State coach Les Miles and Boise State's Bryan Harsin, who was hired by Coyle when he worked there. Minnesota was also expected to target North Dakota State coach Chris Klieman, a source told ESPN's Brett McMurphy."

Continue on.

Niumatalolo is an interesting pick. I was a little surprised he wasn't byu's coach last year. Triple option in the big 10 would be interesting
