Their head coaching job just opened up. I think they'll hire PJ Fleck. However, if you search twitter seems like their fans all want Bohl. Glad they got that extension signed with the $6.5 million buyout!

Contract extension doesn't mean shit. The boosters at Minnesota definitely have the $$$$$ to buy out Bohl if they want him. If Bohl were to get offered he is gone...guaranteed. No coach would ever dream of turning down a Big 10 job to stay at Wyoming.

Thanks for that tidbit Captain Obvious. Bohl is outside the top 5 of the candidates that they after...so don't let that raging boner you have for our coach poke you in the eye and blur your vision.

You in the loop with the Minnesota AD?

It doesn't take a genius to do a little research...you outta give it a shot.

Research based on ESPN "sources". The only person who knows for sure is the AD and at this point I highly doubt he is letting a lot of people know.

Bohl' recruiting ties to that region are very strong and after turning around the shitstorm at Wyoming, there is a strong possibility he will be looked at.

So 8 & 6 is turning a program around? Ya, only if the previous year was the worst in the history of the program. Which it was. But that was Bohl's as well, so there is that. Hell, Bohl's predecessor went 8 & 5 in 2011...and we sure didn't all gather up in a circle and sing happy songs then, and we aren't right now either.

The kicker in all of this is that when Bohl leaves, if he leaves, Klieman will be ours so fast (if we want him) it will get your green and gold undies in a nut-restricting wad before you can say Bizun.

Apparently you weren't a Wyoming fan in the early 2000's. Even I recall a three year stretch where they won a total of 5 games, one year winning a whopping 1 game.

Na Klieman wouldn't follow Bohl's sloppy seconds.

What is with you and the make genitalia references? Football shouldn't cause you to get sexual. Now on the other hand if you put a sheep in front of a guy from Wyoming.......

Is Bohl really this good of a coach to warrant this kinda talk, we saw a glimpse of it this year going from 2-10 to 8-4, but.....next year will truly tell me how good he is or isn't

Easy for you to say, but don't be so sure.

I think part of the reason his name constantly is brought up is because he was a finalist in 2007. Minnesota went with then-Broncos TE coach Tim Brewster instead...who turned the program into a dumpster fire while Bohl proceeded to win three consecutive FCS championships with a lot of Minnesota recruits who Brewster decided not to recruit. In that first year, NDSU also defeated Minnesota, which only added fuel to the fire.

I didn't know the state powerhouse program of Minnesota had so much swag that they'd pony up 6.5mil and then pony up a large raise for the coach.

What's the facility situation there?

LOL!! Ya, those early 2000 years were something. But here is something google won't tell you about them. We were more competitive. We didn't lose to 2 very shitty schools, and get blown out in 8 games. The 2015 season also included losing badly to an FCS slug (your big-brother North Dakota).

As I said, and you know it, if Bohl leaves, so will Kleiman - to WYO. Wish away all you want, just like you probably did when Bohl left, and look how that turned out for you, LOL!

You Bizun fans are an interesting bunch of inbred hicks. Congrats on all those lower division championships, but get this - nobody in the college football world really gives a damn...and never has. No matter how much you beat your chest, we don't care - and never will. Now go get your shinebox.

It's been at or near the bottom of the Big Ten for years, but getting better.

Minnesota has an 8-year old stadium with 50,000-capacity, but the program struggles to fill it. Not CSU bad, but when other conference opponents are selling out stadiums twice the size, it's a problem. Training/Academic facilities are much worse, but new facilities are under construction.

Here's a couple stats I found from when they were campaigning for the project:
-12 Big Ten schools have built new academic centers in the past 19 years. Minnesota building is 44 years old.
-All 13 Big Ten peers have built or significantly renovated their football development facilities in the past 22 years. Minnesota's is more than 30 years old.

Peaches has been a fan longer than you've been alive, skippy. We all remember the early 2000's. They weren't fun. Also explains the pessimistic and sour mood that you see around here when we lose games we shouldn't.

North Dakota State Bison Head Coach:
Craig Bohl 2003-2013
Chris Klieman 2014-Present

Yeah, he totally wouldn't follow Bohl's "sloppy seconds", just like Bohl would never leave the Bizun to play with the big boys.

You've got to admit that a bizun alum beating their chest on a Wyoming board screams of the fondness you have for our coach that took you to the top...

I hope not! I think we saw the beginning of the end of the NDSU dynasty this year, now that Bohl's recruits are mostly out of the program. I would promote Vigen before hiring Klieman.

Bohl seems like a smart guy. He will stay FAR away from the dumpster fire that is Minnesota football.
Yeah, because he totally didn't leave a powerhouse to take over a dumpster fire a few years ago...
I see what you did here.....

There's little doubt Bohls name will surface and resurface. He is a very good coach. He built a program in Fargo that time will tell if it can be sustained. Just like here, NDSUs success will be telling in the next couple years, and they certainly didn't repeat this year. Bohl is building a program here too. His name will come up every year - somewhere.

Of course. I was speaking specifically to the Minnesota situation. Bohl's name will always have pull in this state. Even being a state and over 200 miles away, Bohl would regularly do interviews on Minneapolis sports radio when he was at NDSU. A lot of people in the TC metro are very familiar with Bohl, and the quick turnaround in Laramie has only piqued their interest more.

I don't care that he left. NDSU football was very successful before he came and had been after he left. If Klieman leaves best of luck.

I just think you guys are delusional if you honestly think he wants to stay at Wyoming the rest of his career.

Lots of bad blood between Bohl's staff and Klieman. Different situation this time. Maybe it happens. If it does I know NDSU will continue to be very successful. Can't say the same for Wyoming.

No one is saying that, we aren't so naive as to think he wouldn't leave if the right opportunity presents itself. The point, is that Minnesota is not the right opportunity. That football program is toxic right now, far more so than Wyoming was when Bohl came to town. He wouldn't leave to the career killer that is Gopher football when he has something positive going here and can just sit back for another year or two and go somewhere decent, instead of Minneapolis.

I love how the peewee guys come troll our board. Go join the MAC or just go away and play peewee football. you peewees
