Gags and Schmoldt both tweeted that Miraldo Michel has decided to leave the program after getting his first taste of playing time this weekend. Didn't say why. I'm going to guess that he didn't realize how much harder the college game is than high school since he only made it one game before he quit.

He was a JuCo transfer, wasn't he?

I have a feeling it had to do with pain, rather. He had a surgery in the spring, and maybe this game screwed things up?
 
At least Korey Jones turned out to be a good Juco player. Any others from Coach C? I think Kurt T. will be good. BJ Sumpter seems to be a bust.
 
Kurt T. has been solid, if a bit undersized (I think in thw 260s).

Still would like some big guys to stuff up the middle more often. Nothing against Kurt T. or Biezuns, but they get pushed around too much by the guards and center.
 
Kurt T. is 279 lbs but when he was JUCO he was listed as heavier. I don't believe he has seen a ton of playing time. Zach Rushing has been a starter since he has been here so he was a solid JUCO recruit. Mazi has been decent as a JUCO recruit as well. K. Jones, Rushing, and Mazi have been the only difference makers DC has brought in from the JUCO ranks so he has missed on Michel, Lester, Puetz (would have been a starter if he didn't leave), Sumpter, and Robert Benjamin. Luke Anderson is ok, and I think Kirkeguaard is a good back up.
 
HCDC just said during his weekly press conference that Miraldo is back on the team this week. Said he had to deal with some personal issues. This makes me really nervous when a player quits one week and comes back the next. Shamiel Gary comes to mind.
 
We don't know the circumstances and DC does, im sure if he is ok with it, I would be too. DC doesn't seem like the type that would let a wishy washy commitment fly. I would bet the circumstances would be adequate to welcome him back. During the NU game I asked myself who is that? I think he is a good player that we help us. Im glad he is back.
 
I guess the DL coach made it sound like he was actually only away from the team for a couple of hours. Glad to have him on board.
