So long, Canes!

The really effed up thing is that this isht is happening in the vast majority of major programs IMHO. Had this guy not have said anything the NCAA would never have found out.

The NCAA needs to step up the deterrence big-time...I say death penalty is to lite...rather, they should be forced to join the WAC!

With the SEC supposedly interested in Florida State and Clemson, could the ACC survive a Miami death penalty, as this would easily open up the chances of those teams jumping to the SEC?

Actually it's the Big East that should be worried. If FSU and Clemson bolt and the ACC decides to go add 5 to go to 14 should Miami suspend football for a year or two (could happen) and add one last team when Miami starts back up again.

If I'm right on this, TCU will be crawling back to the mighty Mountain West. Especially IF we manage to pull off a major coup and get the Kansas schools!

We could get Texas Tech as well IF Houston ends up going to an expanded PAC-16 with Texas and both Okie schools.

Haven't heard much on Pac-12 looking to move again....I see Texas going independent before that happens. Imagine the TV deal they could get without having to split the pie? Also, there should be no question that the Canes should get the death penalty! The NCAA needs to step up and remind people that they are the governing body- and that schools need to control what is going on in their programs, whether it's a booster or not- it was obvious coaches knew about it. I can see Miami(FL) losing both Football for 3-4 years AND Basketball, as it seems they were quite entwined in the whole thing as well.

It's one thing to want to give money to kids so they can eat, but it's a whole other situation when you're bringing in prostitutes and trying to party for these kids. They wanted to live like superstars, and thats what they were given- no excuse here for Miami.

Apparently Shapiro was trying to recruit Huston Nutt as well.
