Men and women vs. Fresno

God damnit, just when I was starting to believe that Wyoming was capable of making my Vegas trip last longer than one night.

Gutty win, obviously crushing loss to lose Nance. All I can really say is, if indeed his season is over, lets hope he comes back better than ever!! Use it as motivation and win MWC player of the year next year!

If it is indeed an ACL, I'm sure he will attempt to play next year but sadly basketball players usually take 2 years to recover from that kind of injury, and many never recover to their previous level of play.

Depending how his recovery goes, a medical redshirt isn't entirely out of the question. This team might have to grow up REAL quick.

Yeah thats probably true. I'm just gonna hope Nance is not an average case. I tore my ACL in high school and I'm not going to get into my recovery time because people scoff and say impossible, but I would say it probably took close to a year to really trust that knee and be 100% comfortable on it again.

Poor kid, lets just hope for the best. Praying its not a tear, Larry is nothing but classy on and off the court. I even remembr seeing him on my Laramie trip in October, always saying high and being respectful to fans. Just really hope he is OK.

Larry has a a legit chance at being an NBA player, and is such a pleasure to have in a Cowboy uniform. You never know, sometimes injuries look worse than they actually are.

Great fight by the pokes, these kids have so much heart.

This is a little off topic, but that little Guerrero twerp got my attention last night. At least a couple of times he ran in front of the Wyoming bench badmouthing the players and saying something to Shyatt. And it happened again right after Larry Nance went down and was on the floor - he went right between Larry and our bench - badmouthing and talking to our coach again. What a pathetic piece of garbage. He also tried to egg Riley into going off down the stretch of the game.

Well, Sobey had a heck of a night by anyone's standards. No way we win this game without him. He and Nance played great, but everybody else kind of stunk I thought. Good to get a win though and hope Nance is ok.

been waiting for Sobey to take off, maybe this is the start to even better things, afterall he's a senior, let's see it

Fresno St is starting to become my most hated in the MWC, just right behind CSU, what a bunch of thugs, and their hc. rodney terry, that dude needs to take a chill pill and soon

Then you have DeJuan Blair who tore BOTH ACLs, decided to NOT have them repaired and he's still in the league 7 yrs later!

You are right. Did anyone else see him yelling at Shyatt during the game? I saw the officials warn him to stay behind the coaching line at one point.

The guy was completely classless.
And why in the hell can he be out on the court while our boys are trying to run offense right there??

Not even close to the same situation. If I recall correctly Blair simply doesn't have ACLs due to a surgery he received as a kid.

Never said it was the same situation. It's amazing on Blair's part regardless of how he ended up without them. (Looked it up, his ACLs deteriorated after doctors tried to repair partially damaged ligaments in high school and failed. )

Hines Ward and Phillip Rivers have also played without an ACL in one of their knees.

(I am in no way recommending Larry bypass surgical repair, just spouting off random facts) :D
