Eh, big deal; so some kids fought after a football game
Except that it is a big deal, because the zoobies, their administration, their fans, and the church have always held BYwho athletics (particularly football and basketball) up as shining lights of sportsmanship and honor. And they got caught with their pants down on national TV.
This is the way it's always been at BYwho, the holier-than-thou, "we can't do any wrong" attitude, that in practice shows some of the worst people on the face of the earth. I'll never forget watching Rafael Araujo sucker punch Josh Davis (I think) in the AA, get away with it, and then act like a crybaby if anyone laid a finger on him. Or the untold number of times I watched from the sidelines during a football game as a BYwho player grabbed, punched, or kicked a Cowboy when the refs were preoccupied. Or the time I watched a player's wife try to start a brawl with our players at the Thomas & Mack Center during the MWC tournament.
And yes, I realize that some of this happens during every collegiate athletic event at every university, and the university can't be expected to control every player, coach, or fan. But BYwho can quit laying it out there that they are better than everyone else because they have an "honor code" that's supposedly important to players, fans, and administration. it's only important to the administration when they get caught (like yesterday), and most players and fans couldn't give two shits about it. And this event proved it. On national TV.
This just exposes the zoobies for who they really are, and I couldn't be happier. Merry Christmas Poke fans.
