Mediocrity

Look Dino, all I want is Wyo to beat Hawaii, USU, and some Pac12 team (preferably not Oregon State) in a bowl game. I want to win. What is so bad about that?
And can you answer it respectfully, without a bunch of metaphors and insults? Seriously, what is so bad about wanting to win and salvage the season?

What has my life become?

Sitting around reading a handful of twat's posts on a message board about who is the bigger idiot.

I think I am the biggest idiot of all for letting it waste the last 3 minutes of my Sunday night.

It's an addiction. Helps cure losing programs.
I guarantee this type of shit isn't happening on the Alabama board. Probably because die hard Tide fans don't have computers.

And we can only talk about basketball so much and pissing matches with each other are still better than talking about last night

Are you talking about "kinda good in both" or elite in both? Because Tennessee is not elite. Stanford hoops? Not elite. UCLA hoops and football? Umm? They are "pretty good" in football, and not close to elite in hoops right now. Michigan is a good b-ball school, but they are a total joke in football. Easily the most overrated program of this century in football.
Arizona is competitive yes but they are only elite in basketball.
BYU, Nevada, SDSU, and Boise are not elite in both sports. Boise is elite in football, and it would be a stretch calling SDSU elite in hoops.
Once you've successfully refuted my assertion, I'll be right here.

...reminding you of BYU*, BSU, and SDSU...

I forgive everyone...amnesty for all!

If you're a Wyoming fan - how bad can you really be?

Have to go to sleep, up at 5AM and have to be at the ranch by 5:45.

Sweet dreams Cowboys fans...

Okay, well consider this.

If, and that's an enormous IF, we win the last two games and head to a bowl game, then Dave Christensen returns next season.

I for one, do not want that.

However, to even mention Wyoming and a 'bowl' scenario in the same sentence based upon what we have seen is beyond ludicrous.

The defense AND offense have significantly regressed throughout the season, the football program is in tatters with morale as low as it has ever been in the last 10 years, the school President was just canned/resigned, gloom and doom have descended upon Laramie...and someone continues to mention the word; 'bowl'?

Come back to the reality that planet earth should provide.

"Morale as low as it has ever been in the last 10 years" coming from the guy who has only been around 2 years. Ever consider that critics like you are contributing to the low morale?

Win, lose or draw makes no difference. The new interim president has said no more firings. DC will be here next year unless he resigns. We may as well make the best of it.

You must be naive if you believe that. I can guaranty you that DC will not be back next year. When the interim president said no more firings he was talking about the academic side of things. He wasn't speaking of anything athletically.
"That's a bingo!"

DC is gone following the 7th loss...

I don't know if we can ever get to consistently play for titles until we can show football recruits that four years in Laramie wouldn't be miserable for them. We're recruiting players from urban settings, oftentimes southern (Texas), and Laramie is complete culture shock. The report went into detail about this, and it's true. I think in 25 or 40 years if Albany County is successful in growing to triple its current population, it might be possible to put together good FBS teams. What's the smallest town a consistently good FBS team plays in?
On the money...

LEDC needs to do it's job, and then some...

Laramie is in desperate need of re-development...

Let's say you are right, do you have any confidance in Burman picking his replacement?

Thats if we lose seven. Our luck we lose 6 and he will be given another year....

I would like to chime in here...

Confidence in Sperman making another hire at UW? HELL NO!

And for those of you that give him a free pass because of Branch & Shyatt:

1. Branch was plucked from a shallow pool - he couldn't miss.

2. Shyatt was essentially hired by a committee that reviewed the candidates - a committee made up of people like Joe Legerski, etc.

Form a comittee with Joe Tiller and Paul Roach.

You are onto something. Except leave out Roach, great coach, but a little long in the tooth right now.
He would at least know a comptetant coach when he saw one, having been an assistant to Lloyd Eaton and a successful HC himself. If his mind is going, then I would agree with you. If not, may as well have him there.

He would have known, certainly. These days, not so much.

And has one foot in the grave. What his age now? 85?

There are teams in or were in our own conference that are in the good to elite level of both sports. How about BSU, by who, and Utah to name a few. All I ask for is to be competitive and compete for conference championships. That's not asking too much.
