I think it'll pass. The legislature's full of proud alumni. It helps that Mead is making a concession by recommending 8 mil instead of 10 mil.

That would definitely help and I hope it passes. Please, Mr. Burman, start a record demonstrating what this money does for the University and how helping athletics helps increase revenue at the University, in Laramie, and in the State.

Burman must do this. Clearly demonstrate how he is using the money and what the return on that money is!!! How great of pitch would it be to say, you invested 8 million in athletics which returned 12 million to the University (or something). Not only that but with a little more investment, we should be able to build a self sustaining model where athletics funds itself and kicks back to the University.

Outline his vision for progress where athletics clearly benefits the University and the State. A vision where athletics is not just a money pit for "remaining" competitive at the highest level of CFB.

Like I was sayin'...

Basically, this is twice the value of the money spent. It buys $16M worth of budget money for $8M. And what does that $16M get UW in return for only $8M in public funds spent?
