Maybe, just maybe, UW doesn't have the buyout money...

just maybe... you obviously don't know that UW is LOADED!

wtf? what a f'n retarded thread to start..this isn't lane kiffin we're "buying out"

Actually I think Lane Kiffin's buyout was $0. Davis fired him for insubordination. Interesting tactic. In all seriousness, I dont know what Glenn's buyout structure would look like. But I remember UW had to tap some obscure accounts to come up with McClain's buyout. Does he have one or two years left?

UW is loaded? WTF are YOU talking about? We operate with the lowest ATHLETIC budget of anyone in the MWC (yes, now lower than CSU). Which means, we probably operate with a budget (athletically) that would rank us in the bottom 1/2 if not bottom 1/3rd of ALL "D1-type" schools.

BTW, there has been conversation about buy-outs now, and before, and it doesn't just stop with the HC and his contract. And...if you think it is a retarded thread, don't reply, you look like a big asshole. :stfu:

f*ck you, mcBITCH...

The state is fucking loaded! Notice how Wyoming's economy isn't going to shit like every other state right now? We have the resources to buy out whatever is left on his contract. Dont start fuckin idiotic threads.

oh and sorry about the lane kiffin thing..he's gonna get paid tho. Al Davis is an old, senial P.O.S.

and you cant say we dont have the money when you start threads that start with

"MAYBE, JUST MAYBE..."

DaPokes...You are right the state does have a huge budget surplus, but the state and the University are two different entities. Just because the state has money doesn't mean the University does, the University has to ask the state legislature for money in addition to the normal budget. Since coach buy out and increasing coach salary by double doesn't fall under the normal budget it is at least plausible that the Unversity doesn't have the funds on hand to fire Glenn. That being said I really doubt that if Burman decides its time to make a change that there won't be money available from boosters, etc.

Don't let your nickle ass overload your ten dollar mouth MF'er. You don't know WTF you are talking about. And how much of the states "loaded" money are YOU seeing line your pockets right now slapdick? I would bet none...unless your punk ass is on the Hathaway. FYI just because Wyoming is full of mineral tax money and budget surpluses, doesn't mean the ATHLETIC department will see one red penny...and they RARELY HAVE.

BTW...I can start a thread "maybe, just maybe" or however I want, you f'n punk. Don't like it, go over to Rivals, buy a membership, and blow your load there. Jackoff.

nickle-ass huh? ok..first off I'm seeing money from the University since I'm ON SCHOLARSHIP...probably something you weren't able to achieve, asshole..

I love how you're trying to diss me, but you just look hillarious in your failed attempts of doing so. Btw, whens the last time you even went to a UW game?! Been a while huh?

Glenn's ass is gone..regardless of cost..he stopped coaching and started cheerleading a long time go.

I believe the assistants are renewed yearly so no buy-out there. If we let one go now, we'd be paying the rest of this year's salary.

Glenn has an extension trough 2010 so we're looking at a couple years guaranteed salary so probably about $400k is all. He actually makes about $500k a year but most of that is not guaranteed. Would be nice to see the actual $ we are going to pay out after Glenn is fired in November.....of course you never know, he could fire his entire offensive staff (less Applewhite) and save his job so long as the replacements are not more D1AA buddies from lame schools.

Are you sure ours is lower than CSU's? I've also read where our recruiting budget is higher than New Mexico's. Regardless, buy-out or not, the state needs to step up and make this program proud again anyway they can.
