I guess I understand the view that Oregon will beat Wyoming (and probably soundly), but why do they have to trash Wyoming and be jerks about sarcastically talking about Oregon "squeaking out" a victory against the Pokes? Why not just relate that they think Oregon has a great team that seems to be firing on all cylinders? It is one thing to speak highly of the Ducks, as they seem to deserve the praise, but I just don't get the demeaning tone toward Wyoming. If we are that unremarkable, why make remarks about us?

I want more stuff like that - anything that'll make Cowboys play just a little bit tougher and make an impression. While they don't have a snowball's chance in hell to win, this is an opportunity to show we have a future.

Helfrich was joking. He probably was responding to a question from the press - like "Can Wyoming score on your defense." He tends to say stuff like that. All week he has been very respectful and complimentary regarding your coach. He remarked that your head coach has won more games in a row than he has ever.
"Anas" is the first word in the scientific name for various duck species - including Mallard. "BGoldeneye" is short for Barrow's Goldeneye - a species of duck that nests in the Oregon mountains as well as the Teton and Yellowstone areas.
All the best tomorrow. For some reason through the years I have pulled for Wyoming (not tomorrow). Maybe its the team colors and that we have never played. Brown and gold are the best combo in college sports - IMO.

But Bohl has some rebuilding to do. Like going from a spread offense to a power run offense. The defense is pretty far ahead, but the guys there were more suited to the 4-3 than the 3-4 anyways. And under DC, none of our players were actually developed, and the defense was about outright ignored. So we've still got a ways to go. Though a bowl game is not out of the realm of possibility this year.

I'm sure he was joking and this quote would make more sense in context. He is not stupid enough to talk bad about an opponent before the game.

That's what I was saying. He got a lot of his yards before the subs came in. People not giving him his due and only want to berate him.
