Not so sure it'll be an improvement. Arroyo is in over his head as a college OC. An assistant college coach position or high school coaching would suit him better. Southern Mississippi's offense was ranked 106 last season. Arroyo had us at 107 and 116, so it looks like he'll remain right at his sweet spot. Wyo and So Miss have three common opponents this season, so it'll be fun to see how we do on offense compared to how they do against these teams. My guess is we'll score a hell of a lot more points and we'll all be very glad he's long gone. Hell, I'm very glad he's gone right now. He was almost useless. No, make that, he was useless. Actually, he was worse than useless. Useless sounds like he couldn't get anything done. He did get things done, he helped push players out of the program, while making our offense the joke of the conference. So that's worse than useless.OrediggerPoke said:I guarantee he will be an improvement over last year for Southern Miss.

I'm not an Arroyo fan, but you're right what a bummer that he "pushed players" like ACS out of the program so Brett Smith had to start.
And yeah he was not a good OC but god forbid that he gets better.
And you can almost guarantee that we score more than they do on our 3 common opponents.
