Luke M out indefinitely with a hand injury

I love Luke's game. I love watching him play. But, this is sheer stupidity.

I get it...he is a college kid. But when you are basically being paid to play basktball, by gosh, act like a grown up and do your job. This pisses me off. Selfishness could really cost the team down the stretch of the season when they needed him most.

I know it wasn't the smartest thing Luke did but it isn't going to do any good to start talking bad about Luke or getting on him now that it has been over a week and it is over and done with. I think we pretty much all knew it was most likely a fight. Best thing to do now is support Luke and the team and hopefully he will get back sooner than later and the team can develop more depth in the mean time. :thumb:

Agreed. According to the article he hung around and talked to the cops while everyone else fled and they didn't charge him with anything. Those things to me make it look like he wasn't in the wrong. I have no knowledge of the situation but i won't get on the kid for fighting when there is just as good of a chance he was protecting someone or himslef from some other jackass. Still sucks though.

We know he was defending himself as much as you do probably. Meaning, it is all speculation.

Either way....not a smart move. Defend yourself, fine. But when you are a student athlete and are expected to keep your nose clean....then...

This is exactly what I am thinking. If you want to party and be a "college" kid. Fine. Just do it A) if legal B) if allowed by the coach and C) if you arent on the school's watch (ie during the season buddy, your allegiance is to the team and the people paying for your schooling).

There is a time and place for shenanigans and during the middle of the season isn't one of them.

Don't put yourself in precarious situations.

I am not mad at Luke. I want him back...badly. I just dont agree with giving him a pass on stupidity.
