Lots of MWC Players Drafted

Nice work by the MWC this year to get players into the draft!

Fletcher or Unrein would have been the onse to get drafted if anyone, IMO. Hopefully they sign on somewhere as a FA.

Those were the ones I was expecting to have a shot, but I do think they could get on as Free Agents. Fletcher has the reach and stretch to block kicks on FGs, not to mention is so big and strong that at least 2 O-linemen need to take him. Unrein, who was a wrestler, would have no problem against O-linemen either. He too, is pretty big (6'4, 280+ pounds).

I didn't really expect either to get drafted. The defensive tackle spot was very deep in this draft and Fletcher pulled his hamstring during combine workouts, so he was unable to complete all of the work out events. I do expect fletch to sign with FA. Unrein is overrated by most wyo fans. If Unrein was top quality player he would have put up bigger numbers in the mwc. Unrein put up decent numbers but he got to benifit from other teams double teaming fletcher. Unrein put up pedestrian numbers for a lineman going up against only one offensive lineman. (Although Mitch did have the play of the year in my opinion, in which her stripped Ryan Mathews in the NM bowl. )

I do hope at least Fletcher does. Anytime a DT has to have 2 or more O-linemen on him is a sign of how dangerous he can be to a QB. I think Fletch would do incredible in a 4-3 Defense, given his ability.

And last I heard, Givens wanted to be a coach or something, which was why he did not declare for the draft.

I always thought Neuhaus was underrated, but he had a lot of injuries throughout his career.
