Losses..?

CSU has a fairly tough stretch here on Thursday and Saturday where they could drop one @pit or @unlv. It’d be good if they dropped one of them and still beat Boise later. I just can’t see us finishing this off without dropping at least 1 if not more.

No easy games left. Here's what happened with each team left when we played them in the season:

Air Force: 63-61 win at the Academy (last second full court drive by Maldonado)
@Sheep: 84-78 OT win in our house
Nevada: 77-67 win in Reno - This is probably our most certain game for a win
SDSU: Only time we play them this year. They're elite defensively, but challenged offensively. At least we get them at home.
@UNLV: Only time we play them this year. They remind me a lot of the Lobos.
Fresno State: 61-59 win in Fresno. Let them back in with waaaaaaaaay too many turnovers.

We could easily drop 4 of 5. We could also win out. Sheep, Aztecs, and Rebels all make me REALLY nervous.

Every game makes me nervous. So many close ones something like the last one was bound to happen.

2 both on road, in 2 places we rarely play well on the road.. @ the whale fallopian tube arena vs sheeeep. And @UNLV...they scare me

I wouldn't say the Pokes rarely play well at Moby. Won many big games there.

Lately??? This would be the biggest win in Wyoming basketball history at Moby. I wanted to go but I don't need to listen to pesky sheeep fan sheep shit....if we split it'd be a dream to meet then in the Championship game at the MWC tourney

It just seems like the Pokes don't do well against teams with very quick penetrating guards. Is this observation valid?

We did fine against Stevens of CSU, Sherfield of Nevada, Shaver of Boise. The New Mexico guards just play out of their damn minds against us. And House is such a cocky a hole while doing it to boot.

The way we play defense has a lot to do with the perception that penetrating guards do well against us. We usually defend the 3pt line hard and let guards take shorter shots without fouling them. The guys that can finish shots at the basket end up scoring 2s instead of 3s.

House just had a game. He was 4-7 from 3 and 6-6 from the FT line. And a bunch of the 2s he hit were jumpers. Like Lander said, played out of his mind.

speaking of the lobos, they got destroyed by San Joser. ugh. all about matchups i guess

Boise beat SDSU tonite, still finding ways to get it done. UNLV looks scary good, turning their scoring on and hitting everything when needed...maybe our squad can catch fire to Beet the sheep tomorrow... the conference is nutz nuff said

SJSU big man and Ohio State transfer Ibrahima Diallo burned his redshirt to come in for the second half of that game. Right after he entered, he was dominant. Crazy what a big can do for a team. Sound familiar? SJSU could actually be tough this year for the tourney, depending on the health of Diallo. He looked like he was in pain when running.
