Live blog from scrimmage

I'm not really surprised Sween dropped to #3. There were hints of it last scrimmage when ACS took over the #2 offense on several drives. I think Christensen feels ACS has that "it factor" that Sween doesn't. My question is this: Can Benjamin hold off ACS? I expect Benjamin to be the starter come Sept. 5, but don't be surprised if ACS doesn't see some action early in the year. If he shows he can make plays in the games, look for ACS to be starting by mid-season. Would anybody still like to try to convince me that ACS will be redshirting?

I say unsettling more due to the kicking, but the QB situation is a tad unnerving. At this point, no one's really pulled away from the other, except Crum, who has apparently removed himself from the QB competition whether he knew it or not. I worry about a true freshman getting playing time vs. Texas, BYU, TCU, etc. It could either really help him or really hurt him.. physically and/or mentally. ACS has come on strong the last week or two, but I dunno if he'd be ready for live action games. Just my :twocents:

I'm still not convinced that ACS is a sure redshirt. I don't really care either. This is his tryout before next year when CJ Bennett gets up here in the spring.

ACS was taking 1st team reps for half of the scrimmage. Benjamin started out taking 1st team reps but I think that was the coaching staff testing Rob against the #1 D. I really can't separate the two players right now.

Where was Darius Terry today? Alvester Alexander looked damn good today...he may start.
