30 minutes is ridiculous. We have thorguard lightning system at work and it uses 10 minutes since last lightning strike. I can’t remember what the distance is but I’m sure is smaller distance since one part of work will be in warning and the other side of facility isn’t.
 
30 minutes after last strike within 6 miles is the standard at all levels of sport in the US. All Universities have plenty of lightning tracking technology.

It’s very cautious. A little too much. Go to 20 or 15 minutes between strikes and keep the 6 miles. 6 miles is really far.

What bothered me was no one on the PA system at the game letting the fans know what was going on.

But on the bright side, UW made some extra $$$ on beer / concession sales! A lot of extra $$$. :lol:

All the damn food was practically sold out before the first quarter ended. Bad planning by the people in charge
