Along the lines of the countdown to kickoff going on, who's your favorite Cowboy football player of all time?

Easily Ryan Christopherson for me...guy was a wrecking crew and I got to watch him from 13 rows up 50 yd. line student section for 93-94. I'm not sure I ever saw a DE bring him down alone on a power off-tackle...and Tiller ran A LOT of those plays.

I was a bit too young to actually remember him playing, only about 4-5 years old at the time. My favorite though was Jovon Bouknight. Great reciever and helped us get to and win the Las Vegas Bowl against UCLA.

1. Jovon Bouknight, he was a beast and so fun to watch! Always good things with the ball in his hands, loved watching him and the bramlets.
2. Ronny Rocket and Julius Stinson- dude could hit like a mad mad I.e. ULM game when the dudes helmet flew off, Stinson had such a great nose for the ball
3. Devin Moore- fast as lightning
Honorable mentions. Wendling, Sween, and Greg Bolling

So many I'm leaving out or forgetting about

Great choice.. he was really fun to watch, I got to see him in person as well. Marcus Harris was a lot of fun to watch.. he had crazy stats.

I liked watching Mitch Donahue break thru BYU's line and make Detmer get rid of the ball
before he got whupped on.

He's the kind of player the pokes need on defense.

Another vote for Bouknight. He was just unreal for Wyoming. May not be a popular vote but I did like ACS a ton his freshman year. Way fun to watch. I was pretty big on Casey Bramlet back in the day. Honorary selections would be Hoost Marsh or Joseph Harris

I'll admit, ACS more or less willed the team to a 7-6 overall season in 2009, but then fell off in 2010 (and his overall numbers were better than in 2009, if I recall right).

Another one I'd have to put up, or rather trio, would be the Fletcher/Givens/Unrein D-line. I think we would be more than happy to have those guys back up front to plug up the holes.

One of the most exciting players I watched was Darnell Clash back in the early 80's. Everytime he touched the ball, you could hear the crowd buzz. Another favorite, although I personally knew Ryan, was Walt Goffigan... just very exciting to watch. Ken Fantetti and Aaron Kyle were also favorites!

Mine personally was Marcus Harris. I think a lot of our "favorites" come from when we were younger and just becoming big Wyoming Cowboys fans and that is why we will always remember them as our favorites.

Malcom Floyd - master of mismatches.

Also, Dusty Hoffschneider. That guy was a nightmare for opposing o-lines. You're 6'6, 300 lbs? That's fine - this guy's only slightly lighter than you, but since he's a foot shorter, his center of gravity's plenty lower too, and he knows everything about how to use it since he's a top tier wrestler. :D

QB: Randy Welinak
RB: Christopherson
WR: Yarbrough / Harris / Bouknight

My license plate is 16-23-9 and was randomly assigned

Mitch Donahue was also another personal favorite...others I liked as a kid: Anthony Sergeant (who wouldn't love a guy with that name), Welniak and Wallwork, the gun Corontzos had, Willie Wright (Riverton boy), favorite receiver I think will always be Bouknight (close second Marcus Harris).

I was a Ryan McGuffey fan too.. went to football camp w/ him in Thermopolis one summer.. he was beast mode then too.
