Lee Moon In Laramie?????

I wish someone with $$ could hire a mobster to wack him. He brought the entire athletic department down into the 10th level of hell. Fom which I honestly don''t think we'll ever get out from!

Say goodbeye to ever seeing any future conference championship trophies in football!!!!!!!! :brick: :brick: :brick:

Whoa, whoa, whoa..Let's see, his first 4 years the football team was competitive. We didn't have the money to keep Tiller (everyone forgets Tiller had one , although by the time Moon left, I think we had more money for coaches. He hired Koennig because Koennig appeared to be ready for the next step. He wasn't, but Moon had to give him the time to make the team his own. Looking back at the stats for those years, I can confirm that Koennig's teams were more competitive than this years team. The non-conference schedule for Koennig included Ok State, Washington , Oregon state, Tennessee, Kansas, Auburn and Tx A&M during huis tenure and the scores weren't as lop-sided as they have been the last 2 seasons.

Throw in Dimel's record( the best overall win percentage since Roach) and his firing of Joby Wright and hiring of Shyatt and McClain (who I would have happily retained) and he's starting appeal to me more and more.

Koenning never played Oregon State or Oklahoma State. Last time we played Oregon St was in 94. And We played OK St in Glenn's first year. Koenning didn't show up for hardly any big games. The scores were as lop-sided as you say this year is, Texas A&M lost 3-51. Lost to Tennessee 7-47. Lost to Cent. Mich. 20-32. Lost to Boise 13-35. Lost to Washington 7-38. When did koenning's teams show up? Are you talking about losing to Auburn 21-35, or Texas A&M (in Laramie) 20-28, or Losing to Kansas 14-27. Not to mention the BLOWOUT loses to conference opponents every year, Like UNM beating us 45-10 and 49-20. SDSU lost 34-0 and 38-16. CSU lost 37-13 and 42-14. Utah lost 34-0 and 35-0. UNLV lost 42-23 and 47-26. AFA lost 51-26 and 24-13. So the scores I left out were a little closer games, but most all still ended in a loss, besides as you can see here, almost everyteam beat us 2 out of three times...badly. BYU Beat us all three times but we played them close. Not to mention Boise State, Auburn, Texas A&M and Washington were not ranked when we played them. DC played and lost bad to top ranked opponents (exception, Colorado). So far this year...Texas 34-7, Boise 51-6,TCU lost 45-0, Utah lost 30-6 and our let down game UNLV lost 42-16. Everything else has been a game. 6 point loss to AFA, 5 point loss to BYU 10 point loss in a shootout with SDSU, Even though we should have won, still only a 3 point loss to UNM. If a few plays went our way, your looking at us going to another bowl with 6 or 7 wins. Let's see, last year we only had two conference games where we didn't "Show up". TCU lost 45-10 and BYU lost 52-0. Other than that CU we lost 24-0 and Texas we lost 41-10. Utah was a real close game in SLC, AFA was a defensive battle to the end. So in retrospect, I'm not seeing this team anywhere close to as bad as any of Koenning's teams.DC still has this team playing competitively. A lot more than Koenning ever did. Yeah, we didn't get the W's this year, but would anybody be complaining if we had those 6 wins right now, or would we be hearing that this is what was expected at this point.
