Link works perfectly fine for me.

Basically says the University is going to finish the project by doing a half ass job compared to what they were originally were going to do. No more suites and the entrance that they were going to make is going to be a lot smaller now.

Don't care about the suites but bummer on the entrance. Biggest issues are still bathrooms and concessions.

Those will still be taken care of. Still a bummer. It would have been sweet. I guess we will wait and see what they come up with for the designs.

They also forgot to mention that as part of phase 2 they were supposed to bring the building up to fire code, which it has never been. The legislature exempted the building when it was originally built. The agreement with the city was the current construction was to finally bring the building up to code. I hope they don't drop that part.

Typical of a Burman led athletic department. Lets do a half-assed job now instead of raising enough money to finish it right. But we have a new High Performance Training Center coming.....

If memory serves me correct at the Fan Board meeting held in March the Athletic Dept stated that these fire code improvements would be done over the summer.

as long as there's noticable changes that's all i care about , just hope it's not peacemealed and done half assed

Damn this is disappointing. It doesn't really piss me off...I am far beyond that with the current administration. I am really scratching my head on eliminating the primary revenue center though (suites, club area, etc.).

Honestly - who the fuck is watching what is going on with athletics - all phases, and holding them accountable to a specified standard / expectation? And what is that standard & expectation...TBA / TBD?

I'm okay with this under one condition: when they build phase 2 they allow phase 3 to be built in the future and it still adds the longer glass entryway to the east and an enhanced club/revenue stream in the building.

This might be an opportunity to make it even nicer. That depends on Burman being smart and making phase 2 expandable to finish the east glass entryway and a much nicer club section.

So lame. Imagine how you'd feel if you gave a big chunk of change for this bad ass arena upgrade that was slung into face

they're full bore on the High Altitude Fitness Center tho....to heck with the delusions of grandure for the AA, a place that truly makes $$ at UW, but none of us alumni will see the insides of that HAFC, just sayin

I would be in favor of them trying to raise more money to do the AA right - at lest for the entrance. Club seats I'm ok without. I'm wondering if they fear that would push the fundraising back for the new football training expansion (HATC).

Everyone needs to understand the "club" was really just a bar for rich people. It was in a crap location and it sucked. I can't believe they even considered putting it in. There never were any "suites". The concessions upgrades are going to add a ton of coolers and freezer meaning lots of new options for food. The bathroom upgrades are going to be nice, especially for the ladies. The entrance would have been cool but they would have messed it up. The Kenny Sailors statue is going to be pretty cool.

I am down with that...although not rich, I would certainly partake. I would have loved to see the revenue projections, but that is WAY over the heads of the dipshits running the place.

Statue though? I am kind of over that latest hot button at UW. Pretty soon we are going to have statues everywhere...like the streets of Sheridan.
