Laramie Makes Utah Cry

Such rude comments below that article. I'm glad people think so bad of Laramie and the fans, keeps the real idiots out. The arrogance that comes out of the state of Utah is just sickening. They need a reality check. I hope we give them one on Saturday...

I wonder what would happen if the Utah teams all of a sudden regressed to their levels back in the 50s and 60s.

When they helped cause the Black 14 incident, the Arizona schools left, and when LaVell Edwards came in (probably one of the few decent guys from there). So, they really only progressed under him and after the powers of the WAC either left or were screwed over for the next few decades.

I have to say that I'll be following the Utes for years to come, rooting against them of course. Now I have a reason to follow the Pac-10.

The article is about the UTES; Lavell Edwards never coached them so you should probably know which team you're complaining about before starting.

He said "Utah teams," as in plural. Can go one of two ways, of which, I went with the meaning that the state of Utah has two major football teams.

I realize I'm a little late to the party here, but I just read the article. I agree that the weather in Laramie can be a bit crazy, but is it really that much different in Utah, or Fort Collins, or New Mexico?

But that's beside the point. I get really frustrated when I hear these stories about players getting peed on having piss-filled balloons thrown on fans. Has anyone ever actually seen or heard of this happening? I know that Wyo fans can be pretty rowdy and can get a little vulgar (done it myself), but I find it hard to believe that anyone would actually take it that far. I've heard these stories mostly referring to the late 80's and early 90's, but one of the commenters in the article said it happened at the Texas game last year. I find that really hard to believe, and I think someone would have heard about it. Anyone have any experience with this?

GO POKES!

I didn't see anything happen like that at TX game last year. In fact, every person I talked to from TX was very cordial and appreciative. The games in the 90s were much worse than now.

Never happened. Just a myth like so many others that circulate around Utah. Amazing when serious journalists report that kind of thing. While UW fans will be vulger and occasionally throw something on the field or court (like once very 10 years or so), there have been so many worse things actually FILMED at BYU-Utah games (fights on the fields and in the stands, delays due to hundreds of items of debris thrown by fans on the field, cheerleaders attacked, etc.). But why am I preaching to the choir?

people are dumb, think about the logistics of getting piss into a balloon, you either need a super high pressure bladder-NO, or have to hassle with gettting it into a pump that could blow up a balloon...all this mind you without getting any on yourself....possible but not worth the effort. These stories seem to ignore common sense.
