Seeing those freshman bitch about not playing really piss me off.
Like...they think they are fucking entitled.
They may not be, and it might just be a product of over-reacting to twitter, and if that is the case I will take back everything I am saying.
But from what I am seeing, it's like...do they not realize they have to EARN playing time?
Josh Adams was thrown into the fire last season because of an injury to Grabau and then kept the starting spot because of the Luke Martinez fiasco.
He is the only freshman to really have significant playing time throughout their entire freshman year.
Nance didn't play all that much until the end of his freshman year. That year was all about Leonard, Luke, JD Luster, Paco, and Wadell.
Why would players like Keonta Vernon and Trey Washington just come into a much better team and expect to get playing time?
If you want to play, EARN it don't TWEET it!
Is Keonta even on the team anymore? I haven't seen him on the sidelines at all lately. Trey looks mopey, but maybe he would get playing time if he didn't screw up with awful shots every game.
I know this sounds harsh on the freshman but I get the feeling that because they are such a tight knit group, and UW and Laramie are smaller-ish, they feel like they are all brothers and deserve the time just as much as anyone else.
But Larry Shyatt doesn't play the "we like you so why not" card, he treats it like the business it really is...D1, major college basketball.
Earn your frickin time.
