I don't think we've played them since the old WAC days. Could be wrong, but oh well.

But we ARE playing the Weber State Kittens Saturday.

The last time we played Arizona was in 1977 in their last year as WAC member before heading off to join the PAC-8 which became the PAC-10 in 1978.

The last meeting was a 13-12 win for Wyoming over Arizona in Laramie. Arizona leads the series at 12-10. However during the WAC years, Wyoming lead the series at 9-7.

What about the Wyo-ASU series? I know the 2 contended for the WAC title during the 60s, but not much else afterwards.

We last played the Sun Devils that same year, 1977, but lost badly in Tempe, 45-0, to Arizona State. They lead the series at 9-6. Our last win against the Sun Devils was a year earlier in 1976 in Laramie, a 13-10 victory.

Incidently we only won twice in Tempe and that was in the very first game between the schools in 1951 (20-7, Wyoming over ASU) and in 1967, a 15-13 win.

I would have to disagree, Kemmerer hosted regional wrestling my senior year in high school and it was a dump, the hotel we were at had brown water, the rooms smelled something terrible, and there was a sign on every door that said "please don't field dress animals in your room". Left a pretty sour taste in my mouth.
