Is that the problem? Didn't know. I jsut dont understand why other teams (Nebraska, Weber, or pretty much everyone I see on TV around the county) puts their kickoffs to the endzone. Hell, our kick to start the seond half came down at the 20! Another kick would have rolled out of bounds at the 30 if the Husker hadn't stupidly fell on it.Aaron said:Its just sad that Watts liked the dope more than football

Sullivan is a true freshman so give him a break, but how long until we see Williams? Williams was clearly the better kicker in pre-season. Sullivan's miss meant nothing towards the outcome of the game, but what if the Utah State, UNLV, NM, etc games come down to a mid-range FG, who takes it?

You can certainly argue whether that was a good call or not on the Coach's part, but it doesn't mean the kid can't kick it to the end zone when asked. He did a good job against Texas State of kicking it deep. I'll agree that the missed FG's are a problem, but the idea that he can't kick it out of the end zone seems ridiculous to me...
Well, if that's the case, I hope DC asks him to kick the ball out of the endzone in future games. No return, no injuries, no problem. Kicking it short guarantees your opponent decent field position and if they happen to get it and run with it, they pretty much end up with great field position. If he can do it, let Sullivan pound it out of the end zone!HellBass said:Are you guys all really that blind? I thought they were trying something like that. Finally the returner moved up and then we kicked it past him into the endzone.
But, yes I would like us to just boot it into the endzone each time.
I would rather have an accurate kicker that didn't miss FGs rather than long kickoffs...that is if I could only have one.
