was the last 5 minutes of the first half. If the defense didn't give up 14 points in that 5 minutes this could have been a totally different game. Just like last year where we gave up a late score in the 1st half and then an early score in the 2nd half, we were forced to play from 14 points behind for all of the 2nd half. Defense tightened up in the 2nd half again, its just too bad they had a 5 minute lapse that was killer in the 1st half.

I still like our chances against Boise. The home game will give us the crowd advantage. The offense I think will have a better time against Boise as I'm not sure there defense is as good as Texas'. Plus if our defense doesn't go through a 14 point 5 minute lapse, I think it could be very close, competitive game.

I have to admit, I was really concerned about our defense after the SUU game.

After watching this one, I felt that the only true concern is all the missed tackles. There were several times where we should've had a tackle for a loss/sack, and instead Texas came up with huge gains.

Also, I'm happy we actually moved the ball somewhat. The offense is miles ahead of where it was just a year ago, especially considering the environment we played in. ACS was 16/24 on his passing, and sure his yards per attempt was low, but he didn't turn the ball over either, and he had to deal with a lot of pressure.

I wouldn't claim Boise's defense isn't as good as Texas', though. If I were the coaching staff, I'd make the team prepared for an even tougher defense. If it's not, then great... but yeah...

I agree Wyo needs to prepare for a tougher defense, I just think based on watching Boise that they may not be as good as Texas' defense. To me it appeared against V.Tech that Boise has a very strong run defense but is more sussesptible(sp?) to the pass. To me that may help us out as our run game hasn't done well yet anyway.

I also agree on our defense. After S. Utah I was worried about our D. But I was pleasantly suprised today. Even with the missed tackles they looked pretty good. If they can just clean up the tackling they may end up being very tough this year.

Boise doesn't play pass D very well.. their run D was pretty good though.
