Don't know if it's been on the board...but I just noticed Kankolongo signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders this last May.

And they called a penalty. That was a physical hit, yes, but not a penalty hit.

At game speed it looks like a vicious helmet to helmet hit, so that's where the penalty came from. But if you slow it down you can see Namy lowering the shoulder. It was the Air Force blocker lowering his head and Namy bouncing off of the blocker into the returner. It ended up looking like helmet pinball.

If I remember correctly they didn't throw a flag on the field for leading with the helmet. The flag you see thrown was for excessive celebration. Air Force filed a complaint to the MWC after the game, and a they ruled it a penalty. Kongo had to miss the following game.
