More honors for Justin James as he was recently named First Team All-Independent Schools in the state of Florida (http://www.sourcehoops.com/indepedent-schools-all-state/). This is in addition to being the SIAA Player of the Year.

The "Independent" schools that make up this grouping include a lot of powerhouse basketball prep schools. James is keeping very good company:

First Team:

Ben Simmons - Consensus #1 Player in the 2015 class.
Udoka Azubuike - 5-star, Top 20 Player nationally in the 2016 class
Corey Sanders - 4-star, Top 100 Player in the 2015 class
Justin James - Go Pokes!
Tacko Fall - 4-star, Top 150 player in the 2015 Class

Second Team:

Mario Kegler - 4-star, Top 40 player in the 2016 class
Deng Adel - 4-star, Top 50 player in the 2015 class
Eric Hester - 4-star, Top 100 player in the 2016 class (teammater of Justin James at Oldsmar Christian)
Christian Jackson - unranked, class of 2016 (being recruited by VCU, UMass, FGCU, etc.)
D'Riante Jenkins - 3-star, Top 150 player in the 2016 class

Third Team:
Tulio DeSilva - Headed to USF, 2015 class
Howard Washington - 4=star Top 100 player in the 2016 class
Romello White - 3-star, Top 150 player in the 2016 class
Yankuba Sima - 3-star, headed to St. Johns
Oliver Joshua - unranked

Now, granted a lot of the kids on this list are 2016 so they are a year younger than James but to be First Team in this league is a tremendous accomplishment.

Yeah i noticed this a couple of days ago and thought it was quite the accomplishment being on the first team with Ben Simmons.

Congrats Justin!

Justin and Austin are going to be quite the back court in the coming years. :D

Think there's any chance of him jumping out of his commitment and going to another school? Now that he's a hot shot.

I don't think he can if he has signed.
I clearly don't know the kid from Adam, but the press and info I have seen on him, he has really embraced UW and seems to really be excited to be a Cowboy. You can't find a pic or article about him where he isn't holding up the "W". I think the fact that Wyoming saw enough in him EARLY and offered kinda put a chip on his shoulder that only reaffirmed his excitement. Coach Shy knew he was his guy long before he blew up and I think he respects that. Hats off to Coach Shy. This kid could be a game changer.

That too, but once a players signs his letter of intent, they are bound by their decision. Nothing has shown that Justin James is anything but fully committed to Wyoming.

Yes sorry. I did not mean to imply he isn't locked into his commitment for this upcoming season. I think he's gonna be one of the greats

He's got to be one of our most decorated recruits since Quinn Higgins. I said this when we got him and Austin that I think they're going to win multiple MW titles. Now, if their work ethic matches their potential and they can stay out of trouble/injury(knock on wood), I think they'll get us back to the sweet 16.

Don't worry about JJ. He's chomping at the bit to get here.

Austin deserves a little credit for landing recruits I think. He's been in love with Wyoming since he verballed

Agreed. He's been a huge part of the recruiting process. Having him on the team is going to help with recruiting quite a bit!
