Just my 2 cents

Its pretty clear that this offense isn't gonna get better without better line play. That will only come with experience but there is something the coaches can do now to help.
First move Frendt to WR. He's fast and quick enough and his size would cause problems for defensive backs.
Leave Wilson where he is.
Play Siddons and/or Schoenfeld as extra blockers. Both are about 260 pound kids who don't mind sticking their nose into a block. Pace would be another option or as an H back. He is young but does a pretty good job.
It makes no sense to me to play several wide receivers if the O lone can't give Hughes the time to get the ball off.
Tear me up if you like but that's how I se it

Good post, and no disagreement here.

To your point, the best game that the OL has played as a unit this year and probably all of last year was the win against Hawaii.

Agree. Good coaches change , change, change and make more changes and adjustments til things get better. Sooooo…. We are probably SOL

Thanks for the insight. I agree that it starts with the coaching staff recognizing the abilities of the players they recruited. What it seems like I have heard is that this team learned this all by day 3 of camp and can’t seem to execute the game plan effectively 2 months later.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

But I’m not expecting any major offensive changes based on what we’ve seen from this staff and their ability to adapt and effectively manage the personnel they have over the last 3 years. They would seemingly prefer to keep attempting to push the square peg through the round hole.

Heads up - it’s in jest. Sawvel made a previous media ant about all those in their mom’s basement criticizing his ability to coach.

I knew it was a joke.
I may have been born at night but it wasn't last night

You have to throw contested balls to the wide receivers. The windows might be small but that is the level of this competition. The oline is good enough. Probably the best part of the offense at this point. I dont believe hughes has the vision to complete these passes, so that would be the change I would make. If a receiver is 1 on 1 you have to make that throw way more than we do, otherwise the defense will just sit in single high safety the whole game.
