Head-caressing dunk ???? Putback. High Flying. HUGE. Springboard. Those I can understand. But Head-caressing? What the hell does that mean? He certainly didn't do it "gently or lovingly".

He was telling him not to feel too bad, as he wasn't the first, and won't be the last, that Nance will dunk on like a boss.

What I really like to see with Larry is he appears to be taking on some floor leadership.

If you watch West, he pushes Larry away from the rim. The head caress was a natural reaction by Larry to the foul by West. He had to hold onto West's head to keep himself on the right flight path.

OK. As long as that was not giving head to West.

Larry had 30 mins that game tied with Randle for most minutes. Also having Walton as the coach i think he likes that Larry gives a 100 on all hustle plays, defense, rebounds. Wont be long tell he is a house hold name.

Not a huge highlight, but this pretty much sparked the Lakers' comeback and subsequent win last night

he lit it up.....shame it didn't translate to a win

Larry Nance, Jr. is the glue that holds the Lakers’ amazing bench together (SB Nation)

The Lakers bench Energizer Bunnies have been great because the whole is better than the sum of their parts, but Nance has been the screws holding those parts together. The sophomore forward doesn’t jump off the screen as doing any one thing at an exceptional level, but he doesn’t have to because he does just about everything well.

On offense, Nance allows the reserves to play to their strengths and not have to go outside of them. He pushes the ball in transition off of rebounds so the team can get into their offense quickly and offset their lack of a traditional point guard, and he gives ball-handlers like Ingram, Williams, and Clarkson an outlet by spacing the floor to mid-range:
