If M'Baye was still at WYO... We'd be real tough...very athletic

Gotta be honest, this is no better than hearing everything about ACS leaving! I don't miss him. He obviously didn't want to be a Cowboy that bad. So, good bye M'Baye! Have fun at OU, Where I bet he gets very little playing time next year.

I actually think we are a better TEAM without M'Baye or Jackson. Glad they are gone if they didn't want to be here. They weren't team players and that is why they left. They were more worried about themselves. We are a very good team this year. I don't think anyone realizes yet just how good Wyoming is.

If Wyoming goes into Denver @ Denver and wins that game then I think you have to start thinking Wyoming seriously has a bit of a chance at winning the MWC this year and no I'm not kidding. The reason is because of the defense they are playing. I honestly think Wyoming has a great shot to be undefeated at home this year with that smothering defense. Basically it comes down to what they can do on the road. We shall see.

If they stop turning it over on offense, than yes.

I agree. They were doing better at cutting down on turnovers and then they started turning the ball over again at Colorado the other night. If we can keep that in check we will be tough.

M'Baye would make us a better team instantly, and during conference play you will be thinking the same team. He is a stud and would help us tremendously no question

He may be a great talent, but that doesn't mean he would "help" them. It's one thing to score points, it's another to play as a team, have chemistry and win as a team and that's the difference between last year and this year. Playing like a team is the difference between being 9-1 and being 4-6 at this point in the season.I don't miss M'Baye..I don't miss Jackson...I don't miss anyone that bailed on us!

It all depends on if M'baye would have responded to Shyatt's coaching. It would have been a lot more work, but who cares. With all the defections, Shyatt was able to turnover the team quicker making it his much sooner. We are lucky that the players that stayed are coachable and have some talent. I don't care who left. This team is still fun to watch and I think they will surprise us even more. Good for them and they work they've put into this team.

All I know is with or without M'Baye...I'm excited for Cowboys Basketball this season- what a great year to be a Cowboys fan!!

I guarantee he would buy, everyone else has. The problem is that he didnt want to initially and left for OKLAHOMA you dont think he would help us your nuts

if people don't defect, do we get Larry Nance Jr.? M'baye won't be able to hold Larry's jock when it's all said and done. Just another blessing in disguise, just like ACS leaving. Although, if he did buy in, he would have helped us a lot THIS season. I prefer the quick turn over of recruits which allows shyatt to get his team.

Can't help us if he DOESN'T buy into the coaching and the system, which he DIDN'T..that's the point. He may be very athletic and physically talented...but obviously he lacked the talent either in the heart or in the head. I am just fine with our team as it is. Hard to guarantee someone buying into something much later when they wouldn't even do it in the first place and totally left the program because of the change. I agree with the statement above about Larry Nance Jr.

I am not sure. From a pure talent standpoint he would have a monster impact, however this team as a whole has to compete above their talent level in order to win and that would be true even with Mbaye. The question is: how much stock do you put into "chemistry"? Is that what allows this team to outperform their talent?

Mbaye had some real negative things to say about us on the way out and I am not sure how that attitude would have impacted this team.

Humility is hard. Did M'Baye have too much pride to do what it takes to play for Coach Shyatt? His talent was undeniable, but sometimes great individual players can become a cancer on a team. Great players also make their teammates better.

Great teams are better than the sum of their parts. Great players also make their teammates better. The past few years we had good talent but it did not work well together. Both coaches and personnel are different this year and we are liking the results.

Looking back to this staff's first stop in Laramie, do you recall that one LaDrell Whitehead took off when Coach Shyatt and staff arrived? He was arguably the top player the year before but he did not allow his teammates to play up to their potential. He looked selfish on the court. He left, Coach Shyatt arrived and Wyoming's guard play improved in Whitehead's absence.

I remember him well - he was very much a "me first" type of player. It seemed like most of the athletic type players Schroyer & staff recruited were that type and/or rebelled against the coaching. Enough about them, we have a team now.
